Heat exhaustion

Cause: Due to the hot weather, sweating, the body lacks water and salt and collapses.

Symptoms: Weakness and weakness, the skin is cold and pale (this is the biggest difference from heatstroke), pulse and weak, headache, dizziness and nausea, emotional upset, fainting. The patient loses water, the blood pressure drops, and the blood cannot bring enough oxygen to the brain.

Treatment: Move the patient to a cool place, smear and cool down (with heat stroke), let the patient lie flat and raise his feet. If you are awake and do not vomit, give the patient a light salt water every 15 minutes.

Note: Don't give anything to a fainted patient to avoid tripping the patient or liquid into the lungs, which is even more troublesome.

How to dispose of patients with collapse: Some patients suddenly show nausea, dizziness, pale, shallow breathing, general weakness, often suddenly fell to the ground, this is the performance of collapse. When there is a lot of vomiting and diarrhea, blood loss... some factors, such as strong and weak stimuli, can cause acute dysfunction of the heart and blood vessels and cause temporary collapse. If the patient is found to be prostration, he should be placed in a supine rest.
